Hi, I’m Andrea Fox. I’m an attorney and I am here to help you.
I’m an experienced Montana family law attorney specializing in flat fee document drafting, parenting plans, divorces, wills, collaborative law, and mediation.
I want to take the mystery out of the legal process for my clients. When you come see me you are not getting a fancy, intimidating legal experience. There are no walls of leather bound books in my office. You’re getting individual attention, and all of your questions answered. You’re getting an honest assessment of your situation. You’re getting legal help without the mystery. I do not think I am smarter or better than you because I am a lawyer. I simply have the education and experience giving me the tools to help you with the legal process.

I am a mom first, and I know there is nothing more important than family. Family is perhaps a big reason, if not the biggest reason, that you are here. I practice family law because I care about families and children, plain and simple. Family law cases affect our littles the most. Child-focused legal assistance can help reduce the negative toll that custody cases can take on kids.
I take a limited case load so that I can really be there for my clients. When you hire me you are working with me, not with staff . I try to respond to every communication within one business day. And, I always make sure I’ve answered all of your questions.
I’ll never try to pressure you to hire me. I offer assisted self-representation, and limited scope representation so that you can get the level of help you think you need. Bottom line: I am here if you need me, in the capacity that best fits your needs.

Who is Andrea Fox?
I am a Montana family law attorney in practice since 2011. I started Fox Law Firm, PLLC in Kalispell in 2016. Where are you licensed to practice law?
I am licensed in Montana and have been a member of the State Bar of Montana since 2011. I am not licensed anywhere else, so I can only help with matters filed here in Montana.
How long have you been practicing law?
I have been practicing law in Montana since 2011, and I opened Fox Law Firm here in Kalispell in 2016. You are welcome to read reviews from folks I have worked with.
Where did you go to law school?
I earned my Juris Doctor from the University of Montana School of Law in Missoula in 2011. Before that I did my undergraduate degree at the University of Montana, graduating in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science in History and a minor in Women and Gender Studies. I grew up in Helena and graduated from Capital High School. While I was in law school I did a clinical internship with Montana Legal Services Association, focused on family law.
Why do you practice family law?
I am a mom first, and I do not think there is anything more important than family. Family law cases affect our littles the most, and child focused legal help can take some of the sting out of what a custody case does to kids. I keep my caseload small so I can really be there for the people I work with, and I try to respond to every message within one business day. You can see everything I offer on my practice areas page.
Will I work directly with you or with staff?
You work with me on the legal side – the advice, the drafting, the strategy. My paralegal helps with scheduling, confirmations, quick administrative follow up phone calls, and invoices, so you may hear from her when we are getting you set up. The legal work on your case is done by me.
Do you handle mediation?
Yes. I offer representation at mediation on a limited scope basis, and you can hire me for it directly through my flat fee services page. About 95% of cases settle in mediation, so for a lot of people it is where the case actually ends. When possible we conduct mediation over Zoom, which is standard practice and works very well. I also perform mediations via Zoom as the mediator for a flat fee of $895.
Do you meet with clients in person in Kalispell?
Most of my work happens by phone, email, and e-signature, and I find that is the most efficient way to do it for everyone – it also means I can help folks all over Montana. My standard consultation is a 30 minute phone call for $95. If you are in Kalispell and would rather meet in person, I address that on a case by case basis.
